About Pony Ride & Petting Zoo Parties
Pony Rides and Petting Zoos are probably the most down-to-earth fun you can have at an event! Nothing offers the beauty, fun and excitement of animals. For the kids, the excitement is in being around live animals, getting to touch, pet, feed them and ride them. Adults experience the same excitement as the kids, plus for many, seeing their children ride a pony is a very nostalgic experience, reminding them of their own childhood!How it Works The ponies and petting zoo come right to you! You can get just a pony, just a petting zoo or a combination of the two. We arrive a few minutes early to set up and you get a full hour (or more if you want it) with the animals.
Small animals such as bunnies, ducks and chickens go in a small pen and the kids go right in the pen with them. Larger animals like sheep, goats and pigs are on leashes. The kids get to feed, pet and brush all the animals. Older kids can walk the bigger animals on their leashes. And if they're available, we try to bring our baby goats or lambs that take baby bottles. Our staff makes sure everyone gets their share of hugging, brushing, feeding and petting!
Our staff always walks right alongside the children on the pony where they can chat with the child and make sure they're having a great time. We can ride about 20 kids in an hour. Ponies can work in nearly any size yard -- even as small a space as a 2-car garage is fine.Safety We always walk next to the child on the pony, not out in front dragging the pony along behind us. All of our animals are raised on our backyard farm and are around our own children so you can be sure they are healthy, clean and safe. We voluntarily comply with USDA Federal requirements and standards for animal health and safety and our petting zoo is the only one in the area that we know of that is USDA Licensed. All of our farm animals receive regular veterinary care and appropriate vaccinations, just like our other pets. Please refer to our information on Safety & Insurance.
Service Time Most folks need one hour with the animals. This usually fits nicely into any party schedule, including quickie two-hour parties. One hour is great for up to 20 kids. Additional time is available if needed for private parties and we are available for multi-hour parties and fairs. On occasion we do shorter parties, but it must fit into our existing schedule.Prices Party prices vary by location, length of stay and type of animals invited. Payments & Deposits a 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 2 weeks of booking. Payment may be made by check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.
Rain Policy We come out rain or shine - it's hard to tell a child they're party is off just because of rain! In light rain we bring umbrellas and still do rides as long as you provide a dry place for the kids to wait. Petting zoos can be set up in any sheltered area such as a garage or under a covered deck. In really bad weather we will substitute a petting zoo for pony rides. If you postpone or cancel your party for weather or any other reason we try to find you another date. However, an additional non-refundable deposit will be required. Holding rain dates would deny others the use of our service.
Fairs & Fundraisers We love doing fairs and fundraisers and charge you a flat rate or hourly basis for our services. This gives you the opportunity to charge how you like for the rides. Pony rides are a fabulous attraction, bringing in lots of folks who might not attend your event but for the fact that their child will get to ride on a pony.
